Jalandhar: The body of Regional Transport Authority officer Ravinder Singh Gill was found in the bathroom of his residence at Jalandhar Heights on Wednesday morning.
According to the police Gill did not come out of his flat till late morning. His driver and gunman searched the house and opened the bathroom door where they found him lying unconscious on the floor.
The police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem examination. An investigation has been initiated into the matter. Surjit Singh in-charge of the Jalandhar Heights police post said that Gill’s death is suspected to be due to a heart attack.
Gill is survived by two sons. One of his sons was married a few days ago following which the atmosphere of happiness in the family has suddenly turned into grief.
The deceased had earlier served as a motor vehicle inspector in Bathinda. After receiving a promotion he was posted at the Chandigarh head office and was also holding the charge of Jalandhar RTA.
Family members of Ravinder Singh Gill have reached Jalandhar to receive the body.
