New Delhi: Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have reclaimed the top two positions in the ICC ODI batting rankings, with Rohit holding the No. 1 spot and Kohli climbing to No. 2 following an exceptional run against South Africa. The ICC released its weekly rankings on Wednesday.
Kohli, who amassed 302 runs in the three-match ODI series and was named Player of the Series, gained two places after scoring back-to-back centuries and a half-century.
He is now just eight rating points behind Rohit. The Indian captain scored 146 runs in the same series.
India’s next ODI assignment will be against New Zealand starting January 11, where the contest for the top ranking between Rohit and Kohli is expected to draw significant attention.
