Amritsar: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has announced that its annual budget session will be held on March 28.
SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami said the decision was taken during a meeting of the executive committee. The session will take place at 12 pm at Teja Singh Samundri Hall in Amritsar.
Dhami said the annual budgets of the SGPC, the Dharm Prachar Committee, and gurdwaras managed under Sections 85 and 87, along with educational institutions and trusts run by the committee, will be presented and approved during the meeting.
He added that formal invitations are being issued to members to attend the session.
Speaking on another issue, Dhami also urged the government to enact a separate law to prevent incidents of sacrilege involving holy scriptures.
