DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A suicide bomber attacked a police training centre in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Friday, triggering a fierce gunbattle between security forces and the attackers. The exchange of fire is still ongoing.
According to reports, at least two Pakistani soldiers have been killed so far. The banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is suspected to be behind the attack.
A video released by the attackers shows flames and gunfire at the site, while one of the assailants claims they are avenging “the attack on Kabul last night.”
Security forces have cordoned off the area, and a search operation is underway to neutralize the remaining militants.
