Jalandhar: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal held a closed-door meeting with party leaders in Jalandhar on Friday, focusing on organisational strengthening and preparations for upcoming assembly elections.
During the visit, Rajpal Das was appointed as the party’s national spokesperson. Senior leaders from Jalandhar interacted with Badal for around 15 minutes, where discussions were held on city-level issues, election strategy and strengthening the party at the booth level.
Sukhminder Singh Rajpal said he thanked the party leadership for entrusting him with the responsibility and assured that he would carry out his duties with full commitment. He added that efforts would be made to highlight the party’s development work through media and raise awareness among people regarding the policies of the Aam Aadmi Party.
Party leaders emphasised unity and coordination among workers to further strengthen the regional outfit and expand its base in Punjab ahead of the elections.
