Mumbai: The family of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput has decided to challenge the Central Bureau of Investigation’s (CBI) closure report in court, describing it as superficial and incomplete. The family alleged that the investigating agency ignored several crucial pieces of evidence.
The CBI, in its report, had concluded that Sushant died by suicide and that no concrete evidence was found against Rhea Chakraborty or any other accused.
Reacting to the report, the family’s lawyer, Varun Singh, said the investigation was incomplete. He added that crucial materials, including chat records, witness statements, bank transactions and medical reports, should have been presented before the court.
The family also claimed that key evidence, such as Sushant’s bank statements, was not submitted during the investigation.
