New Delhi: Thailand has entered a period of national mourning following the death of Queen Mother Sirikit. Prime Minister Anutin Chernavirakul announced that he will not attend the 32nd APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting to remain in the country and oversee funeral arrangements.
Anutin also canceled his official visit to Malaysia scheduled for Saturday. He will, however, travel to Malaysia on Sunday morning to attend the signing ceremony of the Thailand-Cambodia peace agreement before returning immediately to Thailand.
