Amritsar: A transport in-charge was shot dead at a bus stand in Amritsar on Tuesday morning. The employee sustained four gunshot wounds and could not be saved, according to officials.
Police sources said the attackers have issued threats of more violence, claiming the shooting was carried out as an act of revenge.
CCTV footage from the area is being closely examined and the investigation has been put on high priority.
Security has been tightened in the vicinity as police try to identify and track the suspects involved in the attack.
