Toronto: Peel police have arrested two Brampton residents of Indian origin after seizing a large quantity of deadly drugs and hundreds of stolen items from a house. The accused, identified as Gurpreet Mangat, 26, and Parveen Gill, 40, face multiple serious charges.
Police said they acted on information about a drug consignment and stolen property at a Brampton residence. After obtaining a search warrant, officers recovered significant amounts of heroin and methamphetamine intended for retail sale.
During the search, hundreds of items suspected to be stolen were also found. The accused reportedly admitted during interrogation that they had been involved in theft for a long time. Authorities estimate the combined market value of the drugs and stolen goods at around $200,000 (₹1.25 crore).
While police did not release the suspects’ photographs, they published images of the seized items.
