Vaishno Devi pilgrimage suspended from October 5 to 7 due to adverse weather

Jammu: The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board announced on Friday night that the pilgrimage to Vaishno Devi, located in the Trikuta Hills of Reasi district, Jammu and Kashmir, will be suspended from October 5 to 7 in view of an adverse weather advisory issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Officials said that over 1.70 lakh devotees had visited the Vaishno Devi temple during the night, and the pilgrimage was proceeding smoothly.

The Shrine Board stated in a post on X, “In view of the adverse weather advisory issued by the India Meteorological Department, the Vaishno Devi pilgrimage will remain suspended from October 5 to 7.”

The board added that the pilgrimage will resume on October 8, and devotees are advised to stay updated through official channels.
