New Delhi: A video of fugitive businessmen Lalit Modi and Vijay Mallya singing Frank Sinatra’s “I Did It My Way” at a lavish London party has gone viral, drawing sharp reactions on social media.

The event, hosted by former IPL commissioner Modi, was attended by more than 310 guests, including close friends, celebrities and family members.

Former Royal Challengers Bangalore cricketer Chris Gayle was also seen at the party and shared a photo with Modi and Mallya on his Instagram story, captioning it, “We are living it. Thank you for a beautiful evening,” tagging both fugitives in the post.

Modi posted the video on Instagram with the caption, “Had a wonderful night with 310 friends and family… Thank you to everyone who made this night special for me. Hope this video doesn’t make a splash on the internet. Certainly controversial. But that’s what I do best.”

The video has sparked anger among social media users, who have questioned how the two high-profile fugitives could host and attend such a grand celebration in London while facing serious legal charges in India.

Mallya, a defaulter in a Rs 9,000-crore loan case, and Modi, wanted in connection with financial irregularities in the IPL, have been absconding for years while evading extradition to India.

Many users have demanded a fresh probe into their luxurious lifestyle abroad.
