We are all one, we are all Hindus, says RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat

New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday said that regardless of one’s language or community, the truth remains that “we are all one, we are all Hindus.”

Addressing a rally at BTI Ground after inaugurating a gurdwara at Sindhi Camp, Bhagwat spoke about the concept of Akhand Bharat (undivided India). He said, “Those who had to leave their homes and properties will one day return and rebuild their lives.”

He added, “Today, we see ourselves as separate because we are looking at a broken mirror. We need unity — why should there be conflict? No matter what language or community we identify with, the fact is that we are all one. We are all Hindus.”

Bhagwat further said that a “clever Englishman” came to India, fought with the people, defeated them, and ruled over them.

“He took away our spiritual vision and handed us a broken mirror of materialism. Since then, we have begun to see ourselves as divided and started fighting over small issues,” he said.
