Sonipat: Police in Sonipat said Sarita, arrested for the murder of her husband Ramkishan at a marriage garden, made several disclosures during interrogation. She is currently on a two-day police remand.
During questioning, Sarita told police that her husband Ramkishan (39) consumed ganja and frequently forced her into sexual acts after watching pornographic films. She said she was fed up with his behaviour and, as a result, planned his murder along with her lover.
According to police, Sarita was born in 1994 in Tharu village of Sonipat. She married Ramkishan in 2012 and there was an age gap of eight years between them. She alleged that Ramkishan did not like her talking to other men and tried to control her. He often attempted to assert dominance and harassed her.
Police said that on the night of December 5 and 6, the couple had an argument. Later, Ramkishan allegedly consumed intoxicants and had sexual relations with Sarita. She claimed that he assaulted her during the act as well. Sarita also told the media that her husband used to harass her regularly.
Sarita admitted before the police that she had already planned the murder with her lover Satpal. On Monday night, Satpal was staying in a rented room near the marriage garden. After Ramkishan fell asleep, Sarita called Satpal to the spot. Police said Satpal smothered Ramkishan with a pillow while Sarita pressed his private parts, leading to his death.
According to the police, Sarita also said that on the evening of January 5, she had asked her husband for Rs 3,000. When he refused, an argument followed. Later, the couple ate dinner together and went to sleep. Ramkishan again consumed intoxicants and had sexual relations with her. Sarita said she was exhausted by the continued harassment and had decided to eliminate him.
