Mumbai: A woman doctor working at a government hospital in Maharashtra’s Satara district allegedly died by suicide, leaving behind a note accusing two policemen of rape and mental harassment.
According to officials, the doctor’s body was found hanging in a hotel room in Phaltan late Thursday night. Police were informed immediately after the discovery.
An official said the deceased was a resident of Beed district and was posted at a government hospital in Phaltan tehsil.
Further investigation is underway to verify the allegations and circumstances leading to her death.
