Officials said the commission may begin discharging water as a precautionary step. At 7 am on Monday, the water level at the old railway bridge was recorded at 204.80 metres, up from 204.60 metres on Sunday evening.

The warning mark is 204.50 metres, and the river has remained above this level for two consecutive days.
