Faridabad: A 20-year-old man was beaten to death by seven men in Faridabad’s Ballabhgarh after they abducted him and assaulted him with sticks, recording the act and circulating the video on Instagram.
The incident took place in the forests of Sector-62 on July 12, where the accused took the victim, Akash, in a van and brutally assaulted him. Akash was rushed to a hospital in critical condition and died during treatment late on the night of July 14.
Police said the investigation has revealed that Akash had a quarrel with the accused during a wedding ceremony in February over a trivial issue, which led to the fatal assault.
The video of the attack went viral on social media, creating panic and fear in the area.
Police have launched a probe and are working to identify and apprehend the accused.
