New Delhi: The central government on Friday announced a major reshuffle at the senior level in the bureaucracy, appointing several officers to key positions across various departments.
Keshav Kumar Pathak, a 1990-batch IAS officer of the Bihar cadre, has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat. Pathak is currently serving as chairman of the Bihar Revenue Board.
His appointment was made by temporarily upgrading the vacant post of Joint Secretary, according to an order issued by the Ministry of Personnel.
N. Shravana Kumar, a 2000-batch IAS officer from the same cadre, has been appointed as the vice-chairman of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA).
Bhuvnesh Kumar, a 1995-batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, has been nominated as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). He is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
In a related move, Amitesh Kumar Sinha, a 1997-batch officer from the Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS), has been appointed as Additional Secretary in place of Bhuvnesh Kumar.
Abhishek Singh, a 1995-batch IAS officer of the Nagaland cadre, has been appointed as the Director General of the National Informatics Centre (NIC). He will also hold the additional charge of Additional Secretary in MeitY.
Meanwhile, Mugdha Sinha has been appointed as the Director General (Tourism) and Managing Director of the India Tourism Development Corporation Limited.
