AAP Government’s goal is clear — to make Punjab’s youth ‘job creators’ instead of ‘job seekers’: Sandhu
Tarn Taran Election News: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Harmeet Singh Sandhu has strongly lauded the revolutionary transformation in Punjab’s education system under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. He said that the Mann Government’s goal is clear, to make Punjab’s youth ‘job creators’ instead of ‘job seekers,’ and this is not just a slogan but becoming a ground reality. Sandhu said that the success of more than 1,187 government school students in tough competitive exams like NEET and JEE is living proof of this revolution.
In a statement issued here, Harmeet Singh Sandhu targeted the previous governments, saying that the Akali-BJP and Congress regimes commercialized education and destroyed government schools, leading to a loss of public trust in the system. However, the AAP Government has opened the doors of quality education for children from ordinary households by establishing Schools of Eminence with a massive investment of ₹231.74 crore. He said that providing free uniforms and free bus service to students in these schools, especially empowering girl students, fulfills the Mann Government’s guarantee of ‘equal opportunity for all.’
Expressing pride in the success figures, the AAP candidate said that this transformation is now visible in results. Today, 265 government school students have qualified JEE Mains, 74 have cleared JEE Advanced, and 848 students have passed the prestigious NEET examination. These outstanding results have been made possible because the Schools of Eminence provide special coaching for NEET, JEE, CLAT, NIFT, and defense services, enabling students to compete at a global level.
Sandhu also specially appreciated the School Mentorship Program, under which senior state officers themselves are mentoring students of government schools. He said that this initiative will instill leadership qualities in students and help them become confident entrepreneurs. The Mann Government is not only providing jobs but also creating an environment where the youth themselves will establish companies and contribute to building a ‘Rangla Punjab’ (Vibrant Punjab). He said that education is the greatest form of empowerment, and these policies of the AAP Government are brightening the future of Punjab.
