Investigation of the incident from various angles is ongoing, culprits will soon be in police custody
Jalandhar News: DIG Jalandhar Range Naveen Singla visited the spot to inspect the fire incident that occurred last night at Gandhi Nagar in Adampur. On this occasion, SSP Jalandhar Rural Police Harvinder Singh Virk was also present with him.
While inspecting the incident site, the DIG informed that three unidentified persons had put oil in a bottle, set it on fire, and threw it at the gate of the house, due to which the gate caught fire, but there was no loss of life. He informed that upon receiving information about this, a police party was immediately sent to the spot.
Mr. Singla further informed that the police are investigating this incident from various angles. In this case, the police have also spoken to the family members, he said adding that the incident occurred at Gandhi Nagar in Adampur will be traced soon, and the culprits will be arrested. He informed that in this case, FIR number 109 dated 06.07.2025 has been registered against unidentified persons under Sections 326(G), 324(4), 61(2) of BNS, 2023 (Sections 436, 427, 511 of IPC).
The DIG Jalandhar Range, on this occasion, also directed the SHO of Adampur Police Station to include suspicious persons in the investigation. He emphasized using CCTV footage, local intelligence, and technical surveillance to trace the culprits at the earliest.
While reiterating the commitment of the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to strictly enforce law and order to maintain peace in the state, Mr. Singla said that wrongdoers will not be spared at any cost. He informed that today, even the Jalandhar Rural Police, while taking major action, have arrested two gangsters, involved in demanding ransom; during a police encounter at Shahkot. He informed that from these culprits, two country-made pistols, ammunition, and 110 intoxicating tablets have also been recovered.
