Baltej Pannu Questions BJP: Where Are the Promised ₹15 Lakh per Citizen and 2 Crore Jobs?
Punjab News: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab’s State General Secretary Baltej Pannu issued a challenge to Punjab BJP’s Working President Ashwani Sharma, demanding that he publicly release the proof of ₹1600 crore claimed to have been given by the Centre. Pannu accused the BJP of misleading people with “jumlebazi” and running away from their own promises.
Challenging the BJP, Baltej Pannu directly questioned what happened to the promise of depositing ₹15 lakh into the bank accounts of every citizen, and where the promised 2 crore jobs per year disappeared. He said, “You (BJP) have still not been able to tell the nation where the ₹15 lakh per citizen is, and where the 2 crore jobs per year are that you promised. After misleading people with hollow slogans, you now demand answers from others.”
Pannu stressed that anyone who actually gives money always has concrete evidence. Challenging BJP’s State Working President Ashwani Sharma, he said, “On behalf of the Punjab Government, we challenge you to public the proof of the ₹1600 crore from the Central Government. Then everything will become clear, truth will stand on its own.” He added that if BJP truly has any authentic evidence of receiving ₹1600 crore from the Centre, they should present it before the media so that the whole truth becomes clear to the people.
