Reiterates government’s commitment to support people affected by natural calamity
Jalandhar News: Punjab Horticulture and Defence Services Welfare Minister Mohinder Bhagat on Monday reached out to families affected by incessant rains that lashed Jalandhar for over 15 hours, distributing relief material including ration and medicines at Bhargav Nagar.
Addressing the gathering, the Cabinet Minister assured people that the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann stood firmly with every citizen facing hardships due to heavy rains and floods. He termed the situation a natural calamity that had emerged as a collective crisis for the state, stressing that the government was fully committed to safeguarding the interests of affected families.
Mr. Bhagat also announced financial aid for those whose houses had been damaged in the downpour. He said this assistance would help families repair their homes and resume normal life without feeling alone in this hour of crisis.
The Minister reiterated that the state government was leaving no stone unturned in extending timely relief, medical care, and rehabilitation measures, ensuring that maximum help reached the people in need.
“The government is with you, and no one will be left alone,” Mr. Bhagat said while distributing relief kits.
