Light and Sound Shows to be held on November 4 in four districts of Punjab, including Jalandhar: Deepak Bali
Jalandhar News: Punjab’s Minister for Horticulture, Freedom Fighters, and Defence Services Welfare, Mohinder Bhagat, has invited the residents of the district to actively participate in the Light and Sound Show being organized at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, Jalandhar, on November 4, as part of the series of events being held by the Punjab Government to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
Addressing the media today at the local District Administrative Complex, along with Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department Advisor Deepak Bali, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal, and Police Commissioner Dhanpreet Kaur, the Cabinet Minister said that the unparalleled sacrifice made by Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji for the welfare of humanity is unmatched anywhere in the world. He said that the great life and philosophy of the Guru Ji serve as a guiding light for all humankind.
The Minister stated that the Punjab Government is celebrating the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji on a grand scale. He informed that the series of commemorative events began on October 25 with prayers offered at the historic Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib in New Delhi, and various programs are being organized as part of these celebrations. He mentioned that Kirtan programs are being held in towns and cities blessed by the Guru’s presence, along with Light and Sound Shows across all districts of Punjab.
Inviting people to join the events dedicated to the 350th martyrdom anniversary of “Hind Di Chadar” Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, Minister Bhagat urged all residents of the district to attend the Light and Sound Show with their families to learn about the Guru’s life, philosophy, and supreme sacrifice.
Advisor Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs Deepak Bali said that Light and Sound Shows are being organized using digital technology to familiarize the new generation with the Guru’s life, teachings, and martyrdom. He said that the Punjab Government is organizing these grand-scale events in connection with the 350th martyrdom anniversary, and the Light and Sound Show is part of this series. He appealed to the district residents to participate in this important and spiritually significant event in large numbers.
Mr. Bali further said that on November 4, Light and Sound Shows will be held in four districts of Punjab — Jalandhar, Pathankot, Fatehgarh Sahib, and Patiala. He also mentioned that the Punjab Government is organizing grand Nagar Kirtans (religious processions) from different places. One such Nagar Kirtan will start from Gurdaspur on November 20, reach Jalandhar on November 21, and then proceed to Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar on November 22. Further, he informed that from November 23 to 25, special events will be organized at Sri Anandpur Sahib, and he urged everyone to take active part in these celebrations.
During the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) Jasbir Singh and Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Amaninder Kaur were also present.
