Chetna Project; Various competitions organized to ignite awareness among students

Students should show interest in becoming skilled along with their studies

Jalandhar News: Under the Chetna Project launched by the District Administration wherein students are being trained in life-saving skills; various poster-making competitions were organized in three government schools. As part of this initiative, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal today encouraged the winners at the School of Eminence, Ladowali Road, Jalandhar, by presenting them with certificates and mementos.

Speaking with the children, Dr. Himanshu Agarwal advised them to show interest in becoming skilled alongside their academic studies. He said that achieving great heights requires hard work, and only those students who consistently stay dedicated to their efforts are able to reach higher goals.

He said that under the Chetna Project, as many as 12 students from government and private schools who secured the top three positions for creating various models and posters using waste materials were honoured. In addition, six students were awarded for excelling in poster-making and presentations.

The Deputy Commissioner informed that poster-making competitions were also held on topics such as banking and financial awareness, digital awareness, cybercrime, and life-saving skills. A total of 24 students secured the top three positions in these categories.

He further mentioned that these competitions were held at the School of Eminence, Ladowali Road, Jalandhar; Government Co-Ed Model School, Ladowali Road, Jalandhar; and Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Ladowali Road, Jalandhar. During these events, students also presented theme-based skits and giddha. He added that such competitions will continue to be organized in the future.

On this occasion, IAS (Under Training) Muklin R, District Education Officer (Secondary) Gurinderjit Kaur, and Secretary of Red Cross Society Surjit Lal, among others, were also present.
