Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Friday inaugurated a newly constructed rail overbridge on Multania Road here. Addressing the gathering, the chief minister apologised for reaching the programme late due to bad weather conditions.
He said the construction of the nearly one-kilometre-long bridge began on September 11, 2023. CM Mann added that after the inauguration, he would hold a lok milni to hear public grievances and later inaugurate a library in village Naruaana.
The chief minister said the library has been equipped with syllabus books for different classes along with literary works. During his address, he also urged people to attend the Aam Aadmi Party conference being organised at Sri Muktsar Sahib on January 14 on the occasion of the Maghi Mela.
MLAs from Bathinda district, chairpersons and heads of various institutions, AAP leaders and a large number of local residents were present on the occasion.
