Jalandhar News: In a commendable operation, CIA Staff team of Commissionerate Jalandhar, under the leadership of Commissioner of Police Smt. Dhanpreet Kaur, has succeeded in arresting the person who opened fire with the intention of killing Simranjit Singh near Off Grid Gym, No Exit Road, Model Town, Jalandhar on the evening of 01.07.2025, along with 1 pistol 32 bore and 1 live bullet.
Sharing the details, Smt. Dhanpreet Kaur said that on 01.07.2025, the plaintiff Simranjit Singh was sitting in his vehicle at around 09:15 pm from the gym off grid as usual, 2/3 unknown persons tried to fire on him with the intention of killing him, and he escaped from the spot and saved his life by going inside the gym.
She said that after taking action after this incident, on 02.07.2025, on the statement of Simranjit Singh son of Jagdish Singh resident of Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar, Fir No. 122 dated 02.07.2025 was registered against 3 accused under Sections 109, 62, 61(2) BNS, 25-54-59 Arms Act at Police Station Division No. 6, Jalandhar. During the investigation of the case, on 23.07.2025, CIA staff and teams of Police Station Division No. 6 Commissionerate Jalandhar with intelligence sources and technical assistance arrested accused Bhupinder Singh alias Bhinda son of late Nirmal Singh resident of Garupar Police Station Aur District SBS Nagar, age 27 years and recovered 1 pistol 32 bore and 1 live bullet from him. Two accused in the case are yet to be arrested.
_She also informed that there is already a case registered against accused Bhupinder Singh alias Bhinda under section 25-54-59 Arms Act at Police Station Banga.
