Commissionerate Police Jalandhar seize 80 grams heroin, arrest two with ₹2.05 lakh

Jalandhar News: Under the special campaign “Yudh Nashian Virudh” being run by the Punjab Government for the elimination of drugs, Jalandhar Commissionerate Police has achieved major success. Under the supervision of Commissioner of Police Smt. Dhannpreet Kaur and under the leadership of DCP/INV Sh. Manpreet Singh Dhillon, ADCP/INV Sh. Jayant Puri, and ACP (D) Sh. Amarbir Singh, the police team of CIA Staff Jalandhar led by Inspector Surinder Kumar apprehended 02 accused and recovered 80 grams of heroin and ₹2,05,000 drug money from their possession.

Giving details, CP Jalandhar informed that on 04 December 2025, during a checking operation conducted by the CIA Staff team, two suspects were apprehended from the Focal Point Jalandhar. The accused have been identified as Gurpreet Singh @ Sajan, son of Gurjeet Singh, resident of House No. NB-47, Preet Nagar, Sodal Road, PS Division No. 8 Jalandhar and Prabhjot @ Prabh, son of Jaspal Singh, resident of House No. 477, Preet Nagar, Sodal Road, Jalandhar.

During the search, a total of 80 grams of heroin and ₹2,05,000 drug money were recovered from their possession. An FIR No. 295 dated 04.12.2025 under Sections 21, 27-A, 61-85 NDPS Act has been registered against the accused at Police Station Division No. 8, Jalandhar.

Accused Gurpreet Singh @ Sajan already has a previous case registered FIR No. 133 dated 08.05.2022 under Sections 21, 61-85 NDPS Act at Police Station Division No. 8, Jalandhar.
