Khuralgarh Sahib / Hoshiarpur: At the historic religious site Shri Khuralgarh Sahib, associated with Shri Guru Ravidas Sahib, the foundation stone of a new bridge connecting Minar-e-Begampura with Tap Asthan was laid today by Deputy Speaker of Punjab Vidhan Sabha, S. Jai Krishan Singh Rouri. On this occasion, Deputy Speaker said that the bridge will be constructed by the Punjab Government at a cost of ₹3.70 crore which would provide easy and convenient access to devotees for this religious site. He added that it would also be ensured that the construction of the bridge is completed within the stipulated time frame with complete transparency and proper quality checks.
Deputy Speaker said that the 650th Parkash Purab of Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji will be celebrated with full respect and religious fervour at Tap Asthan Khuralgarh Sahib. He stated that keeping this major occasion in view, the Punjab Government will ensure that all necessary arrangements are completed well in time so that the devotees do not face any kind of inconvenience. He further said that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, is making tireless efforts for the overall development of the state.
On this occasion, the chief sevadar of the Gurdwara, Baba Kewal Singh, expressed gratitude to Deputy Speaker Jai Krishan Singh Rouri and Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann. Baba Sukhdev Singh and Baba Naresh Singh also honoured the Deputy Speaker by presenting him with a siropa. Panchayat members and sarpanches from various villages were also present at the foundation stone laying ceremony.
