Sant Seechewal and Kirtani Jathas Connected the Sangat with Gurbani through Soulful Kirtan
Kapurthala News: A grand Nagar Kirtan was organized from Dera Baba Harji Sahib, village Khukhrain, to commemorate the Prakash Utsav of the Tenth Sikh Master, Sarbansdani Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The Nagar Kirtan was carried out under the holy canopy of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and led by the Panj Pyare. The event was held under the guidance of the chief sewadar of the Dera, Sant Baba Amrik Singh Khukhrain, with the support of Rajya Sabha Member and noted environmentalist Sant Baba Balbir Singh Seechewal.
At the commencement of the Nagar Kirtan, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was reverently seated in a beautifully decorated palanquin, and flower petals were showered as the procession began. As the Nagar Kirtan progressed, the resonant chants of “Bole So Nihal” accompanied by showers of flowers filled the atmosphere with immense devotion and joy, uplifting the spirits of the participating devotees.
Addressing the gathering, Rajya Sabha Member Sant Baba Balbir Singh Seechewal urged the Sangat to draw inspiration from the sacrificial and exemplary life of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. On the occasion of the inauguration of the Nagar Kirtan, he offered prayers for the welfare of all humanity and appealed for peace and harmony in Punjab. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and preserving a green and clean environment.
The Nagar Kirtan commenced from Dera Harji Sahib and passed through the villages of Majorwal, Rajpur, Narkat, Buddhewala, Hothian and Bhullar Bet, before concluding back at Dera Harji Sahib. Despite the biting cold and dense fog, devotees from various villages participated in large numbers and paid their obeisance with deep devotion.
The local Sangat welcomed the Nagar Kirtan with great enthusiasm. The continuous chanting of “Bole So Nihal” and the showering of flowers along the procession route presented a divine and awe-inspiring spectacle.
On this occasion, Sant Baba Balbir Singh Seechewal highlighted the significance of Guru’s teachings and raised awareness about environmental conservation. Gurbani Kirtan was performed by Sant Baba Amrik Singh, Sant Baba Mahatma Muni Khera Bet, Sant Baba Leader Singh Ji Saiflabad, Baba Shamsher Singh, and other revered saints and spiritual personalities.
During the Nagar Kirtan, Sant Baba Balbir Singh Seechewal along with the Kirtani Jathas delivered special Katha-Kirtan, connecting the Sangat with the glory of the Guru and His life ideals. Through the divine hymns of Gurbani, the devotees were spiritually uplifted. A large number of Sangat remained present and participated in this sacred Nagar Kirtan with great devotion.
