Punjab E News: Under the able leadership of Hockey Punjab President Nitin Kohli, Hockey Punjab and RoundGlass have announced a groundbreaking partnership to launch the country’s biggest prize money junior hockey league. This is a monumental stride for sports development in Punjab, particularly in the realm of hockey.
After a successful partnership over the past year, Hockey Punjab and RoundGlass, under the visionary leadership of Hockey Punjab President Mr. Nitin Kohli and RoundGlass Founder Mr. Sunny (Gurpreet) Singh, are launching this national-level league from August 31 to September 27.
The eagerly anticipated league is set to commence on August 31st and will conclude on September 27th. Eight teams will compete, with three hailing from Punjab and five from other parts of the country. The grand inauguration will take place in Mohali, while the finals will be hosted in Jalandhar.
This ambitious undertaking is the result of extensive discussions between Mr. Nitin Kohli, Hockey Punjab President, and Mr. Sunny, Founder of RoundGlass. The entire sponsorship of the league will be done by RoundGlass and management will be done jointly by RoundGlass and Hockey Punjab.
RoundGlass has already invested crores of rupees in nurturing various sports including soccer, golf, tennis, and hockey, establishing numerous training centers across the state. The upcoming RoundGlass training campus in Mohali will serve as a central hub for the league and a cornerstone for the long-term development of Punjab hockey.
