JALANDHAR POLICE RECOVER HEROIN, INTOXICATING TABLETS; 9 BOOKED UNDER NDPS ACT

Jalandhar News: Under the ongoing campaign against drug trafficking and substance abuse, the Jalandhar Commissionerate Police has intensified its action across the city. During the past two days, police teams from different police stations have recovered 92.4 grams of heroin and 124 intoxicating tablets, and have arrested 12 accused.

Giving details, Commissioner of Police Jalandhar, Smt. Dhanpreet Kaur informed that during the last two days, a total of 9 FIRs have been registered under the NDPS Act and 12 persons have been apprehended in connection with drug smuggling. She added that the police team of Police Station Division No. 6 arrested two accused persons with 50 grams of heroin, while the Crime Branch team apprehended two accused with 15 grams of heroin. Police teams from other police stations also recovered 27.4 grams of heroin and 124 intoxicating tablets from various areas across the city.
