People know very well who is behind Majithia’s bail: Talbir Singh
PunjabENews: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab leader Talbir Singh, reacting to the bail granted by the Supreme Court to Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia, said that those celebrating Majithia’s bail seem to have forgotten that getting bail is not a ‘clean chit’. He said that some people are celebrating Majithia’s bail as if he has returned after winning a war, whereas the truth is that bail in any case is a routine legal process.
Talbir Singh clarified that Majithia has only come out of jail; he has not been declared innocent. He said that the case is still ongoing in court and the final verdict is yet to come. Soon it will also become clear which company the money came from, how much money was received, and where that money went. The process of separating truth from falsehood is still pending. He warned the opposition not to make the mistake of treating temporary legal relief as a final victory.
Targeting Majithia, the AAP leader said that the public knows very well who went to get his bail done and what story lies behind it. He said that in the coming time, major revelations will be made because the government has solid evidence, which will be presented in court.
Talbir Singh said that the government will not step back from its fight against drugs. He stressed that there is no point in celebrating merely getting bail. When the final verdict comes, it will be clear where those who ruined Punjab’s youth truly belong. The government will present its case firmly and justice will prevail.
