Amritsar News: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab’s Chief Spokesperson and MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, while praising the Punjab Police, said on Monday that the government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is delivering what it promises. He stated that the Punjab Police has achieved a major success by arresting all seven accused involved in the murder of Sarpanch Jarnail Singh Valtoha, shot at a palace in Amritsar, within just eight days.
Addressing a press conference along with AAP leader Prabhvir Singh Brar, Dhaliwal said that the Counter Intelligence wing of Punjab Police, in coordination with central agencies and police forces of other states, successfully carried out the operation. He said the accused had taken shelter in places such as Bihar, Patna, Nanded, and Raipur in Chhattisgarh, and were apprehended by Punjab Police after tracking CCTV footage for up to 110 kilometres.
He further informed that Tarn Taran Police has also arrested three more accused in the case, Kulwinder Singh Kinda, Armandeep Singh, and Harpreet Singh, who had arranged the weapons and the motorcycle used in the crime. The two main accused arrested from Chhattisgarh will be brought to Punjab within the next one or two days, after which major revelations are expected.
Dhaliwal said that these murders are being carried out at the behest of operators sitting abroad, who are arranging funding and weapons locally. He warned that for those who shed blood on the soil of Punjab, there are only two places, jail or a police bullet.
Dhaliwal assured the people of Punjab that the Mann government is fighting a long battle against gangsterism and the drug mafia, and that Punjab will soon be completely freed from these evils. He said the state takes pride in the bravery of the Punjab Police, which protected Punjab even during the dark days and continues to work day and night to maintain peace and harmony in the state.
