Meeting with Pracharak Jathas regarding 300th Martyrdom Centenary of Shaheed Bhai Tara Singh Wan

Sangat will be inspired through Gurmat programmes in villages of area dedicated to centenary: Kulwant Singh Mannan

Amritsar News: The Dharam Prachar Committee of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) will observe the 300th martyrdom centenary of Shaheed Bhai Tara Singh Wan on March 14, 2026, at Gurdwara Shaheed Bhai Tara Singh Ji, village Wan, district Tarn Taran, in accordance with Khalsa traditions. To make the centenary memorable, the Sangat will be inspired through Gurmat programmes organised in villages of the surrounding area.

In this connection, as per the directions of SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, a special meeting was held today at Gurdwara Shaheed Bhai Tara Singh Wan, under the leadership of SGPC Chief Secretary Kulwant Singh Mannan and Dharam Prachar Committee Secretary Balwinder Singh Kahlwan, with prominent local figures, pracharaks, dhadis and kavishars.

Chief Secretary Kulwant Singh Mannan said that the main programme related to the 300th martyrdom centenary of Shaheed Bhai Tara Singh Wan will be held on March 14, in which Singh Sahibans, Jathedars of the Takhts, and prominent personalities of the Sikh Panth will participate. He said that to take the message of this centenary to every household, pracharak jathas of the Dharam Prachar Committee will visit villages across the constituency and motivate the Sangat. He appealed to the Sangat to actively participate in the centenary programmes.
