Punjab Government committed to strengthening basic infrastructure across the state
Jalandhar News: Punjab Horticulture and Defence Services Welfare Minister Mohinder Bhagat on Saturdaay laid the foundation stone for development projects worth Rs. 58 lakh in Nizatam Nagar, falling under Ward No. 48, giving a major boost to infrastructure development in the area.
Accompanied by Mayor Vineet Dhir and Chairman District Planning Committee Amritpal Singh, the Minister inaugurated road construction projects costing Rs. 48 lakh. He also kick-started a separate project for the renovation of a local park at a cost of Rs 10 lakh, aimed at enhancing recreational facilities for residents.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Bhagat said these projects would significantly transform the development landscape of Nizatam Nagar by addressing one of the major demands of the local residents. He reiterated that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is committed to accelerating development works across the state with a special focus on strengthening basic infrastructure at the grassroots level.
The Minister asserted that there is no shortage of funds for development and added that several more projects are already in the pipeline and will be launched in the coming days. He also directed the concerned departments to ensure superior quality in the execution of all works, warning that any compromise on construction standards would not be tolerated.
Mayor Vineet Dhir echoed the Minister’s views, stating that such initiatives would greatly improve civic amenities and quality of life in urban localities.
Meanwhile, Councillor Harjinder Singh Ladda expressed gratitude to the Cabinet Minister for approving the projects, stating that these works would go a long way in improving infrastructure and public facilities in Nizatam Nagar.
