Jalandhar: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday carried out raids at six to seven locations in Jalandhar, including a rented house in the city’s posh Friends Colony area. The raids began early in the morning around 7 am, with the NIA teams accompanied by district police personnel.

Though officials have not issued any official statement yet, sources said that a man residing on rent in Friends Colony is being questioned. He has reportedly been living at the location for a considerable time. Access to the house has been restricted, with police deployed outside the premises to maintain security.

Sources in the NIA revealed that the team has recovered several documents and digital devices from the site. The man’s mobile data is also being examined, and investigators are looking into his contacts and communication history.

If the individual does not cooperate during questioning, officials may take him into custody for further investigation. NIA officials are expected to release more information about the operation in the coming hours.
