Passport Office Jalandhar to hold ‘Passport Adalat’ on December 17

Applicants with pending cases till October 31 urged to attend with documents

Jalandhar News: Regional Passport Officer (RPO) Jalandhar, Mr. Yashpal, today said that the Passport Office will organize a “Passport Adalat” on 17 December 2025 (Wednesday) at the Regional Passport Office, SCO 42–51, Pocket 1, Near Bus Stand, Jalandhar. The initiative aims to expedite the disposal of long-pending passport applications across all categories.

According to the RPO, the Adalat will specifically address applications submitted on or before October 31, 2025, which remain pending due to compliance issues or other procedural requirements. Applicants meeting this criterion have been advised to visit the Passport Office between 9:30 AM and 12:30 PM on the scheduled date, along with all necessary supporting documents, for immediate processing of their cases.

The RPO further clarified that no institution, agent, or middleman has been authorized by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to facilitate passport-related services. He urged citizens to apply exclusively through the official MEA portal — passportindia.gov.in — and avoid dealing with unauthorized intermediaries.

He also added that applicants may visit the office for any queries or clarifications, emphasizing that the Passport Adalat is an important opportunity for citizens to get their pending applications resolved efficiently.
