Chandigarh resident Pooja Gupta has been appointed as the State Information Commissioner of Punjab.
A prominent social worker and educationist, Gupta holds a Commerce degree and a postgraduate qualification from Panjab University.
She has been actively involved in various social initiatives in the region.
Her husband, Sunil Gupta, is a leading chartered accountant and holds a cabinet rank in the Punjab government.
