Majitha/Jandiala Guru: Cabinet Minister Aman Arora and Harbhajan Singh ETO today addressed a massive election rally in Majitha and Jandiala Guru in support of Aam Aadmi Party candidates and constituency in-charge Talbir Singh Gill for the upcoming Zila Parishad and Block Samiti elections. On this occasion, both ministers launched sharp attacks on the opposition parties, especially Congress and Akali Dal, while highlighting the achievements of the Mann Government.
Addressing the rally, Minister Harbhajan Singh E.T.O. strongly criticised the Congress Party, stating that Congress boycotting the elections in Majitha constituency clearly shows their fear of defeat. He said he was shocked that Congress ran away from the battlefield. ETO alleged that Congress and Akali Dal have secretly joined hands in the constituency and are campaigning together, but this time the people will not let their tactics succeed. He claimed that under the leadership of Talbir Singh Gill, the party would create history by winning all 33 Block Samiti seats and all four Zila Parishad seats. He added that today’s gathering is not merely the beginning of victory in these elections, but the foundation for forming the ‘AAP’ government again in 2027.
On this occasion, Cabinet Minister and AAP Punjab President Aman Arora, in his address, said that the land of Majitha has crowned many big political families, but in return, they stabbed the people, Punjab’s youth, and the farming community in the back. He said that during the previous governments, youth could get jobs only through bribery, whereas the Bhagwant Mann government has provided more than 60,000 jobs in the last three and a half years solely on the basis of merit, without recommendations or bribes.
Highlighting the achievements of the government, Aman Arora said that today every household is receiving 600 units of free electricity, due to which people’s bills have reduced to zero. He said that earlier farmers had to stay awake at night during the paddy season for electricity supply, but now uninterrupted daytime power is being provided. Speaking on the issue of canal water, he said that the opposition did nothing except play politics over the SYL issue, while the Mann government has laid thousands of kilometres of underground pipelines to ensure water reaches the fields.
Making a major announcement, Aman Arora said that in the coming two to three months, the Punjab Government is going to provide every family with free medical treatment up to ₹10 lakh (cashless health scheme), ensuring that no poor person will have to spend from their pocket for medical care.
In conclusion, both leaders appealed to voters to support ‘AAP’ candidates on the 14th to extend the chain of development from Chandigarh to the villages. They said that when the government, the Zila Parishad, and the Block Samiti belong to the same party, an abundance of grants will flow in, and the Majitha constituency will be transformed.
