Punjab cabinet meeting on floods postponed amid reports of CM Bhagwant Mann’s ill health

Chandigarh: The Punjab Cabinet meeting scheduled for Friday has been postponed, with reports suggesting Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s ill health as the reason. However, there has been no official confirmation from the government.

According to sources, Mann has been suffering from high fever and has remained at his official residence for the past two days. Several ministers were on their way to attend the meeting when they received a message informing them of the postponement.

It may be recalled that Mann fell ill after visiting flood-affected areas in the state. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal had enquired about his health on Thursday.

The cabinet meeting was confirmed for this morning but was later called off, reportedly due to the chief minister’s condition.
