People apprised of the remarkable achievements of four years of the Punjab Government through direct interaction
Jalandhar News (March 28): Punjab’s Horticulture, Freedom Fighters and Defence Services Welfare Minister Mohinder Bhagat today held direct interaction with residents at Mohalla Sharifpura and Boota Mandi in Ward No. 41 and at Mithu Basti in Ward No. 56 under the campaign ‘Shaandaar Chaar Saal Bhagwant Mann De Naal’.
Highlighting the major achievements of the government, the Cabinet Minister said that the state government led by Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann has taken numerous initiatives during its four-year tenure for the overall development of the state and the welfare of the people, due to which Punjab has been brought back on the path of development. He said that every citizen of the state appears highly satisfied with the achievements and facilities being provided by the Punjab Government.
Mr. Bhagat also welcomed the dedication of 109 new Aam Aadmi Clinics to the people of Punjab today by AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann. He said that these include nine new Aam Aadmi Clinics in Jalandhar district. He added that these nine more clinics will provide health facilities at Basti Sheikh, Malko Tarar, Old Tehsil Kartarpur, Rehmanpur, Sabowal, Nangal Shama, Phillaur, Goraya and Nakodar. With these additions, the number of Aam Aadmi Clinics in the district has now reached 75.
He said that patients are receiving 107 types of medicines free of cost at Aam Aadmi Clinics. In addition, facilities for 47 types of lab tests, free scanning for pregnant women at listed centres and free anti-rabies vaccination during OPD are also being provided. He urged the public to take maximum benefit of the free health services available at these clinics.
He further said that under the campaign ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ launched by the Punjab Government to eliminate drugs and make the state ‘Rangla Punjab’, major action has been taken against drug traffickers.
He added that several welfare initiatives such as cashless treatment up to Rs. 10 lakh for every family, 600 units of free electricity for 90 percent of families and supply of canal water to the fields of lakhs of farmers have proved to be a boon for the people of the state. Besides this, the state government has implemented the ‘Mawan-Dhiyan Satkar Yojana’ to economically empower women, under which women of the SC category will receive Rs.1500 and women of the general category Rs.1000 per month.
Mr. Bhagat further said that a large-scale campaign has been launched to make people aware of the remarkable achievements of the Punjab Government during the past four years. Under this public outreach campaign, the government’s report card is being directly delivered to the people through 16,000 rallies, public meetings and corner meetings across the state.
