Punjab Press Club Election Officials Hold Meeting with Contesting Candidates

Jalandhar News: The election officials of the Punjab Press Club, Jalandhar, held a meeting today with candidates contesting the upcoming club elections. Election officials Dr. Kamlesh Singh Dugal, Dr. Lakhwinder Singh Johal and Kuldeep Singh Bedi informed that polling will be held on December 15 at the Punjab Press Club from 9 AM to 3 PM, and the results will be declared the same evening.

Out of the total nine posts, three have already been declared elected unopposed. Elections will now be held for six posts — President, General Secretary, two Vice Presidents, Secretary and Joint Secretary.

As per decisions taken during the meeting:

1. Each candidate can display a maximum of three campaign boards (up to 5 ft × 3 ft) inside the inner boundary of the Punjab Press Club premises.

2. Campaign language must remain dignified and respectful.

3. All campaign material must be removed before 5 PM on December 14.

4. No damage should be caused to any club property while putting up campaign material.

5. During voting, candidates or one authorized representative (polling agent) may remain present inside.

 

The election officials appealed to all voters of the Punjab Press Club to participate actively in the polling process and uphold democratic values and mutual harmony.
