Animal Husbandry Department distributes 403 quintals of feed, treats 415 animals
Kapurthala News (06 September): Four teams of the district administration are working 24 hours a day to protect livestock and feed is also being continuously distributed for the animals.
Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar Panchal said that the Animal Husbandry and Agriculture Department continuously distributed feed and fodder etc. for the animals of the flood-affected people at Baupur Jadid/ Kadim, Sangra, Rampur Gore, Bhaini Kadarbaksh and Mand Bandu Jadid.
Deputy Commissioner also said that apart from the distribution of 403 quintals of feed till late evening yesterday, 415 animals were treated by the teams of the Animal Husbandry Department in more than 19 villages. He said that apart from this, 48 quintals of silage have also been distributed by the teams of the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department.
Giving more information in this regard, Dr. Lakhwinder Singh of the Animal Husbandry Department and Chief Agriculture Officer Dr. HPS Bharot said that the teams of the Animal Husbandry and Agriculture Department are carrying out uninterrupted relief work to protect the livestock of the flood-affected people.
Teams are providing feed, green fodder, drinking water etc. to the flood-affected animals with full dedication and determination, where they are also being treated.
