Chandigarh: Seven districts of Punjab have been hit by floods following heavy rains in the hills of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.
In response, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has called a high-level meeting in Chandigarh today to review flood management.
All cabinet ministers and senior officials are expected to attend the meeting, where the chief minister will assess measures being taken at the ground level and announce further steps for the relief and convenience of the people.
CM Mann has been visiting flood-affected areas for the past two days and has deployed the state government’s helicopter for relief operations. Meanwhile, cabinet ministers and MLAs have been stationed in different regions to provide assistance, oversee evacuation efforts, and ensure supplies reach those affected.
