Mansa: Balkaur Singh, father of slain Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, has announced that he will contest the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections from the Mansa constituency.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the ‘Save the Constitution’ rally organised by the Congress in Mansa, Singh said he has not received justice for his son’s murder even after three years.
He said he would enter the Punjab Assembly to raise his voice for justice and continue working for the people of his constituency.
Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead in May 2022. His death sparked widespread outrage and demands for justice across Punjab and beyond.
