Jalandhar: A major incident of murder has been reported in Jalandhar, where advocate Parminder Singh Dhingra, president of the Sikh Student Federation, was shot dead following a dispute with neighbours.
According to information received from the scene, Dhingra’s body was found on the staircase of a neighbouring house. He had suffered a gunshot wound to the thigh, which proved fatal. Initial reports suggest that the murder was carried out by a neighbour after a quarrel over car parking escalated.
Soon after the incident came to light, a large number of Federation leaders gathered outside the house. Police teams, along with forensic experts, reached the spot and sealed the area for investigation.
Officials said the probe is ongoing and further details will be revealed once preliminary findings are confirmed.
