Patiala: A departmental inquiry conducted by SSP Patiala Varun Sharma in the Col Bath assault case (FIR No. 69) has concluded, resulting in strict disciplinary action against six police personnel, including four inspectors.
According to sources, the inquiry found serious lapses on part of the officers involved. As a result, the following actions have been taken:
1. Deduction of three years of service
2. No increment for the next three years
3. No promotions for the next three years
4. No salary-related benefits or additionals
5. Suspension of all six personnel continues
6. All have been transferred out of Patiala
The case had drawn significant public attention, prompting a thorough investigation by senior police officials.
