Chandigarh: Two individuals have been arrested for allegedly leaking sensitive military information to Pakistan’s spy agency, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said on Monday.

“In an anti-espionage operation, Gurdaspur police have foiled an attempt to compromise national security by arresting two persons involved in leaking sensitive military information,” Yadav said in a post on social media platform X.

According to the DGP, credible intelligence inputs received on May 15, 2025, revealed that the suspects—Sukhpreet Singh and Karanbir Singh—were sharing classified details related to Operation Sindoor with Pakistan’s ISI. He said both individuals have been taken into custody.

A forensic examination of their mobile phones has confirmed the intelligence findings, the police said. Further investigation is underway.
