Chandigarh: Two people were killed and several others injured after a powerful explosion rocked an oxygen plant in Industrial Area, Phase 9, in Mohali on Wednesday morning. The blast, triggered by a cylinder explosion, caused extensive damage to the factory premises.
Following the incident, police, medical teams, and district administration officials rushed to the site and launched a rescue operation.
The injured were immediately shifted to the civil hospital in Phase 6 for treatment.
Authorities are yet to confirm the exact cause of the explosion. A detailed investigation is underway.
