Gurdaspur: Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday visited flood-affected areas of Punjab to review the situation. He was accompanied by Union Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu and senior BJP leaders.
Chouhan said he had been specially sent by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to assess the ground situation. “I will submit a complete report to the Prime Minister, after which further action will be taken to help Punjab recover from the flood crisis,” he said.
BJP leaders Sunil Jakhar, Tarun Chugh, Sawet Malik, Harvinder Singh Sandhu, and Amarpal Singh Bonnie Ajnala were also present during the visit.
