Jalandhar: In a major incident reported from Jalandhar, a youth was shot outside a private hospital located in Kalia Colony late at night.
According to information received, the injured youth has been identified as Sourav Singh, a resident of Shiv Nagar, Sodal. Sourav had gone to the hospital to inquire about the condition of a friend admitted there.
After getting the update and stepping out of the hospital, he was allegedly surrounded by three young men waiting outside. The assailants reportedly opened fire at him, and a bullet struck him in the stomach, leaving him seriously injured.
The victim’s friend has accused a youth identified as Anmol of firing the shot, although the exact reason behind the attack has not yet been established.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the police from Police Station Division No. 1 reached the spot and initiated an investigation into the matter.
